Thousands of engineering and MCA students attended the first day of the 2-day mega job mela that commenced at JNTU-Kakinada on Saturday. It was jointly organized by the JNTU-K and SynchroServe Global Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Vice-Chancellor Allam Appa Rao declared the event was inagurated at the university auditorium in the presence of Collector M. Ravi Chandra. ADP, Avantel, Genpact, HCL, Honeywell, Infotech, Leisux, Miracle Soft, Power Mech, SynchroServe, Veda IIT, Incube, Soctronics, AMD, Wipro and 24/7 Customer are the companies that came for the talent hunt. Participating as chief guest, Mr. Ravi Chandra said when he studied engineering in the JNTUCEK, the number of companies that came for campus recruitment were very limited. Students of the present day are fortunate to have so many reputed companies offering jobs. What they need to do to succeed in their professions was hard work, which should not be confined to the educational campuses. India required talented engineers for its future growth. Opportunities were plenty but only the best would succeed, Mr. Ravi Chandra observed.
