The 48hrs Samaikyandhra Bandh called by the District JAC of Students, Employees and other unions & organisations was held successfully in the city on Thursday. Traders, Educational Institutions and all other sections of people voluntarily downed their shutters in the city. Many sections took out a procession and supervised the bandh in the city. JNTU-K students continued their hunger strike on the day. Lawyers conducted a big bike rally through out the city. Private Schools Association conducted relay hunger fasts at Jagannaickpur. Teachers associations conducted big rally. Panchayat Raj employees and many other sections conducted protests against to the decision of state bifurcation. Many Politicians expressed their support to the bandh and participated in the protests. Meanwhile, some of the RTC employees pelted stones at the windows of private buses at the Balaji Cheruvu center, as those private buses operated agains to the Samaikyandhra agitation.
