Seven houses at Maha Lakshmi Nagar near Turangi mandal were destroyed due to a fire mishap here on Monday afternoon. This fire accident took place because of short circuit in which 11 families became homeless. Due to the sudden spread of fire, all the houses were destroyed within a few minutes. In this accident, families of Balasaadi Madhavi, Sangaadi Veera Kumari, Malladi Nageswarao, MP Dandiya, Tataji, Dharma Rao, Dommudi Dhanavathi, Appala Swamy, Kumara Swamy, B.Dandiya, Malladi Venkat Rao became homeless. An amount of Rs.5 Lakhs loss is anticipated in this accident. Kakinada Fire Office staff reached the incident spot immediately and controlled the fire. As this area is quite near to seacoast, fire spread rapidly due to heavy wind. One of the victims, Malladi Venkat Rao had kept Rs.75, 000/- cash for marriage of his daughter Bhavani on 24th of this month, which turned into ashes. Due to this, the whole family was in tears as wittnessed.
