Kakinada, Mar 1st: Major fire broke out at offshore ONGC office here at Subhadra Arcade, Bhanugudi Junction on Monday. Fire broke out inside the executive chamber at around 4.30pm in the evening. Property including computers, AC machines and software of the projects worth Rs 4 lakh was completely damaged in the mishap. Fortunately as there was no staff during the mishap no official or staff of the company was injured. According to the district fire officer, Mr. G. Yoseph the mishap occurred due to the short circuit in the executive director chamber failing to maintain safety measures. 3 ACs, television and furniture was gutted in the mishap. Fire engines rushed to the spot and controlled the fire.
