Final IIIT list in 10 days

Hyderabad, Aug 4th: With allegations of irregularities in the results announced for admissions to IIITs, the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGKUT) has decided to release the results once again within 10 days after carrying out necessary verifications. Parents and students stages protests for two days alleging irregularities on the selection process of the candidates. They alleged that the district education officers sent the list of candidates who are less meritorious and that there was no transparency in the selection process.

First, the student’s couldn’t get to see their results on the website. It took two days for them to check it. Complaints poured in from all districts that students with less marks made it to the IIITs. There are students who secured 550 were not into the list while the students with 540 are made it to the IIIT. The RGUKT on Tuesday agreed that there were a few anomalies in the list and attributed it to problems in the database. According to a statement released by the varsity, the list of selected candidates of 2009-10 for IIITs has been withdrawn and the final list will be released in the next 10 days.
