Officials estimated the supply to nearly 72,540 and said that the remaining would be completed by the month of March. With the complaints received from the farmers regarding the hike in the prices of the fertilizers, officials started conducting raids and filling cases against dealers who were over-pricing the products. They warned fertilizers dealers not to sell the produce at hiked prices and instructed to display a stock list in the shops.

Revenue divisional officers, thasildhar and other concern officials raided the fertilizers shops in the district and verified the documents and stock position of the fertilizers and prices.
