Kakinada, Dec 17th: A woman along with her two children attempted suicide on Wednesday. The incident took place at Valasapakala in Kakinada rural mandal. One of the children was dead and the other two were hospitalized. Doctors declared that, the condition of the other child was critical and need an intensive care.
According to the information provided by the police, the head of the family Gowri Shankar was living along with his wife K. Uma (32) and two sons Sai Ram (12) and Sai Jagan (8) at Valasapakala in Kakinada Mandal. He was an employee of an oil refinery. Due to Financial constraints, Uma and her two sons consumed soft drink mixed with pesticide on Wednesday morning, when Gowri Shankar left home for duty.
After consuming the pesticide, Uma informed the same to her relatives. They reached the incident place and shifted three of them to the hospital. Relatives found that Sri Ram was dead on the way and the other two were admitted in the private hospital. Kakinada rural circle inspector R.V.S.N Murthy filed the case and doing further investigation.
