Kakinada, Oct 19th: A fraud call by an unknown person regarding the planting of bomb in a two wheeler created lot of anxiety in GGH Kakinada on Sunday. The bomb squad discovered the bomb before the time and relived the tension.
According to the information given by the police a roof contractor V.Gollababu received a fraud call that a bomb was placed in his two wheeler placed at Gynic ward. The contractor received the call from a public booth.
Gollababu gave the information to the police immediately regarding the call. Bomb squad and the town circle-inspector Ravikanth reached the spot immediately and discovered the bomb on time.
Ravikanth said that the bomb is a fake bomb which resembles the Diwali crackers and a watch connected to it with a wire. Bomb squad said that the bomb is not dangerous but as it is connected below the petrol tank it might produce fire.
Police said that they suspect the personal rivalry between the caller and the contractor, and will find the caller as soon as possible by tracing the place were the call was made. DSP Y. Nagi Reddy and District superintendent also visited the place and inspected the bomb.
