TDP party members has met Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad yesterday and submitted the request letter regarding the price of Sand. TDP party demanded Government to start selling the sand only after deciding its exact price. District TDP Chairman and MLC Mr. Chinna Rajappa said that, people are facing many problems in completing construction works as price of sand has increased five times. Syndicate trade is being followed in Sand transport and Sand dugging is carried out crossing the limits even after receiving the notice, he added. He requested Collector to cancel immediately the lease auction and try to improve the situation. He also requested to take steps so that price of unit sand does not exceed Rs. 500/-.
