Kakinada, Mar 22nd: For the fore coming elections that are scheduled to be held in the district on April 23rd, the election authorities are busy in the arrangement and allocation of EVM's. East Godavari district collector, Mr. Gopala Krishna Dwevedi said that the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) required for both the Assembly and Parliament segments are made ready. 8910 EVM’s are arranged by the authorities for the polls that will be held in 19 Assembly and 3 parliament constituencies.
Participating in first randomization program organized at State Ware Housing Corporation, collector said that the zero randomization was completed and after completing the first randomization the EVM’s will be allotted to the concerned constituencies. He revealed that the process will be completed by Monday and the machines will be shifted to the strong rooms of the concerned polling booths.
He asked the polling officers to cross check the ID’s of the EVM’s while transferring them to the strong rooms. He asked the deputy thasildhars to look after the opening and closing of the EVM’s. Later political party representatives signed on the randomization forms. Joint collector Kona Sasidhar, ITDA project officer Yogitha Rani, RDO Kishore Kumar and many political party representatives attended.
