Hyderabad, Jan 15th: The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will meet next week to fix the schedule for conducting various common entrance tests (CETs) for admission into professional courses. It is expected to meet on January 20 and announce the schedule for CET's. The APSCHE has already identified the universities for conducting the Eamcet, Icet, Ecet, Edcet, Lawcet and PGCET in December 2009. However it fails to announce the schedule of these exams due to student agitations in support and against bifurcation of the state.
With the situation retuning to normalcy in all universities after the all-party meet on Telangana in New Delhi early this month, officials of the APSCHE initiated the process of devising the schedule for CETs. Moreover the APSCHE was also confused about fixing a date for conducting the Eamcet due to uncertainty over the schedule of the intermediate exams with reports of it postponed by a week. With clarity emerging on inter exams to conduct as per the original schedule, officials have decided to constitute the Eamcet committee next week and announce th schedule.
