Engineering student ends life

Kakinada, Feb 8th: A B.Tech third year student N.V Sirisha, 19, committed suicide by hanging to a ceiling fan with her chunni in her hostel room at about 4 pm at Lenora Engineering College at Rampachodavaram in East Godavari on Monday. The girl after attending the classes, went to her hostel room and resorted to the extreme step. After noticing the girl was struggling for life while hanging, her friends and hostel staff tried to save her by shifting her initially to a private hospital. However as the case turned critical she was shifted to government hospital where she took her lost breath.

Based on the primary investigation, the girl might have taken the extreme step as she was in depression for failing in a few papers on the recent exams conducted in the college. Rampachodavarm additional superintendent of police Vikram Jeet Duggal said that few of the friends of the girl fell unconscious after witnessing the incident and they could get more information about the incident only when the friends who were in shock get back o normalcy and disclose the details. A case was registered and investigation is on.
