Kakinada, Dec 14th: East Godavari District Collector, Gopala Krishna Dwivedi flags off a rally as a part of Energy Conservation week celebrations observed by Non-conversation Energy Development Corporation. The rally started at camp office and proceeded towards J.N.T.U.
Speaking on the occasion collector said that the Energy Conversation week celebrations will start from 14th of December and will continue till 20th. He said that the main aim of the celebrations is to create awareness among the people about the energy conservation.
Satyanarayana Rao, Nedcamp district manager said that the programs will include awareness and benefits of energy conservations. Awareness will be created among the people to reduce the usage of petroleum products as an initiative to reduce the pollution.
Later, as a part of anniversary celebrations many students took part in the competitions conducted by the corporation. Collector gave the appreciation certificates to the winners. K.Veerabhadra Rao, Nehru Yuva Society coordinator N.S.Manoranjan and the students of J.N.T.U took part in the rally.
