District Authorities Inviting applications from the talented schools of poor families in the district, for the Encouragement Scheme. Students, who qualified the recent 10th exams with good marks are eligible for this scheme. Government will provide Corporate Intermediate education to those talented students under this scheme. According to this, the District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad had released a notification here on Wednesday. Along with government funds, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds will also be utilised to the scheme. First preference will be given to those students, who came from KSEZ victim families and fisherman families, who working in Reliance & GSPC industrial areas. Students from poor families, who studied in Government/ Aided schools and qualified with good marks in recent SSC 2013 results, are eligible for this scheme. Students, who secured 7.00 Grade Points in 10th class results are only required to apply. Students should apply online through the official website eastgodavari.nic.in. The last date of the application is 31st of May. The list of selected candidates would be published on 1st of June and later the counselling for Intermediate colleges entrance will be conducted on 7th & 8th of June, at Kakinada Ambedkar Bhavan, sources said.
