Employment registration goes online

Kakinada, July 2nd: The national portal for registration of employment through online came into operation in the state on July 1. With this new online facility the employment seekers need not go to the respective employment exchanges, but can register themselves through website http://employmentservice.nic.in. Besides this the site will also benefit employers in making the right choice for their needs.

 

Apart from providing training under the National Academy of Construction (NAC), the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) which will come into existence from September this year will cater to these needs in a big way. Speaking to the media persons, here at Industrial Training Institute (IIT) on Thursday, Mr. Bhanwarlal, principal, secretary, labour, employment and training facilities disclosed steps being taken to cater to the needs of employment under the changed scenario after globalization and liberalization.

 

He said that special training program was taken up for the development of driving skills, as there is good demand for drivers of four wheelers and heavy vehicles. He also said that three month vocational training in the operation of power tillers for seed plantation and paddy cutting was also initiated to suit the needs of the farming community. The joint director of the Rajiv Udyoga Sri, Mr. Dhanunjaya Reddy, the regional deputy director, employment and training, Mr. J.A Prabhakar, were present.
