Kakinada, Feb 16th: The Prime Minister’s employment generation program was initiated on Monday in East Godavari district by the district industries center. The four day selection program started on February 16th and will continue till February 19th. Government has taken up this program in a big way to provide employment to the educated youth. For providing better emplyoment facilities, measures were being taken up by the authorities to set up industrial and service units with the assistance of bankers. The selection procedure was entrusted to the AP Khadi and Village Industries Board, Khadi and Village Industries Commission and the District Industries center.
The interviews for the selection of beneficiaries were conducted to the applicants of Kakinada rural, Kakinada urban, Pithapuram, Gollaprolu, Samarlakota, u-Kothapalli, Tallarevu, Kajuluru, karapa and Pedapudi mandals on Monday. On Tuesday the program is scheduled to conduct in Amalapuram and surrounding areas and on the third day the interviews will be conducted for Peddapuram and Tuni area applicants. Rajahmundry and surrounding areas will be covered on final day. Khadi and Village Industries Commission is likely to act as nodal point for these selections.
