The Gram Panchayat Elections Observer (general) Mr. R.V.Chandravadan has reviewed the arrangements for conduct of polls along with the officials in the district, here on Thursday. As a part of this, he enquired about the polling stations located in hyper sensitive and sensitive areas and asked the officials to impose ban on sale of liquor illegally. He asked micro observers to keep close tab that nobody violate the election code. Speaking on this, he felt the need to provide a better environment to ensure that the electorate would exercise their franchise without any fear or favour. He said that flying squads were deployed and four checkposts were set up. Sub Collector Mr. G.Chandrudu, Election observer (expenditure) Mr. J.S.N.Murthy and DSP Mr. S.Chaitanya Kumar were present. However, the district Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad opened a control room for Gram Panchayat Elections. She requested people to pass on information regarding violation of model code to the Control room on 0884-2365506 and Tol Free No: 1077. She called upon the public to notice this.
