The District Collector & Elections Special Officer Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has announced that the election code of conduct took effect from Monday, in view of the coming Municipal elections in the district. According to this, she has conducted a review meet with all the respective officials here on Tuesday at Vidhan Gowtami hall in Collectorate, Kakinada. In this meet, she has started the training program for Tahsildars and Municipal Commissioners here. She has noticed that no political leader and their follower should participate in any government projects inaugurations & establishment programs. Party meetings are not allowed to conduct at any public place or in any government properties. All parties posters & hoardings should be removed, she noticed. No publicity will be encouraged for parties, she stressed. She has stated that the division level election cell will be arranged in the district. All the government employees should attend for their duties without failure, she added. She has ordered the authorities to check all the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM's) whether they are working perfectly or not. Joint Collector Mr. Mutyala Raju, Additional Joint Collector Mr. Markhandeyulu, Assistant Collector Mr. Karnan, DRO Mr. Yadagiri, Special Deputy Collector Mr. Vijaya Saradhi, Returning officers, Asst Returning officers and all other authorities attended this meeting.
