Union Ministry of Petroleum Joint Secretary Mr. Neeraj Mittal has appreciated the East Godavari District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad and also the bankers, oil companies representatives and gas agency dealers for taking the district to first place in seeding Aadhaar numbers to bank accounts in the country. Nearly 6.40 Lakh bank accounts have been completed seeding with Aadhaar numbers in the district. Speaking on this, Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad said that 2,872 applications were received through drop boxes in the district and these were sent to the bankers for seeding. She said that the awareness programmes were being conducted for the purpose in the district. Mr. Mittal requested the district administration, bankers and oil companies to complete the remaining data before 31st of August, 2013.
