East Godavari District Cricket team won the Kannamraju Trophy in Under-19 North Zone Cricket Tournament competitions, which are concluded on Sunday in Rangaraya Medical college grounds & Sports Grounds in Kakinada. These competitions were conducted for 3-days in the city. In the last match, our district team played with Visakha team and won with overnite score 247 runs with loss of 9 wickets. Rangaraya Medical College Principal R.Mahalakshmi has presented the trophy to the district team. District Cricket Association Secretary Mr. K.Bapiraju, Rangaraya Vice Principal Dr. Raghavendra Rao, PD Mr. Sparjan Raju, Association Vice President Mr. A.S.Swaroop, Dr. Ramana Rao and others participated in the program. The authorities will select the players for North Zone A & B teams on Monday, from those four teams which are participated in the tournament, sources said.
