EG stood tenth in SSC results

Kakinada, May 27th: East Godavari district stood tenth in state for  SSC public examination results that were announced on Wednesday. Compared to last year the pass percentage was more this year. The pass percentage in 2008 was 77.40% and now it has reached to 80.82%. Previously district used to be in top 5 positions. But with the results of 2008 and 2009 it is known that the efforts made by the educational authorities to secure the previous position was not satisfactory and need a more efforts to get back to the previous position.

 

In all 57,262 students appeared for the exams in March, out of which 28,261 were girls and the remaining 29,001 were boys. Out of the total 46, 282 candidates passed the exams. Girl students are  on top with a pass percentage of 81.50 while the boys secured 80.15. The number of schools which secured 100% results has increased significantly this year and the number of schools which hold zero percent results also came down. Nizamabad district stood  top with a pass percentage of 90.94 percent, Chittoor district remained at the bottom with just 66.93 percent.
