Kakinada, Dec 3rd: A class VIII student of Kakinada won the consolation prize at the state-level essay writing competition conducted for high school students on Energy conservation. P.S.S Sirisha, a student of Pragathi Little Public school, who won the second prize in essay-writing competition at the district level, represented East Godavari at the state meet conducted on November 21 at Hyderabad.
The competitions were conducted by the Non-Conventional Energy Development Corporation of AP (Nedcap) as part of Energy Conservation Week celebrations from December 14 to 20, 2009. Nedcap EG unit executive engineer, Mr G. Satyanarayana, said Sirisha will be presented with a cash award of Rs 2,000/-.
