Efforts to make Maiosts surrender

Rajahmundry, May 21st: The district police authorities are making efforts to encourage Maoists to surrender police and also taking up several programs to discourage the youth joining the Maoists. With their effective measures they managed to get nearly 10 top Maoists leaders to surrender police which includes Deputy Commander of Maoist group of Galikonda Area, Machavarapu Srinu alias Pratap and other leaders Manga and Kavitha.

 

Saying to offer cash prizes and other benefits, police authorities are encouraging more number of surrenders. The cash prizes will be based depending upon the cadre of the Maoist that surrendered. Maoists will also be given with either land or financial assistance to set up their own business to make out their livelihood under Indira Kranti Patham.

 

With the well treatment given by the police in the case of surrendered Maoists, the other are also showing interest to quit their movement and lead a normal and peaceful life with their families. On the other hand to discourage the tribal youth joining the Maoist, the police authorities are conducting various programs including regular sports meets, offering sports kits to youth and enrolling women into vocational courses like computers and tailoring.
