State wide strike was conducted yesterday by all the government educational institutes in the state against the negligence of the Government towards them. Students greaved that Government is crossing limits in showing its immense love towards Private institutions rather than Government institutions. They conducted programmes like Rastha Rokho, Human Chains etc.. in several places. Students questioned why they were not provided with text books even after commencing one month of classes. Students are suffering from many diseases as sanitation and drinking water is not made available for them. Ladies are facing problems as 80% of schools and colleges are not having seperate toilets. Scholarships and Fee reimbursement are not given properly. As power supply is not available all the time in the schools, they are facing problems in submitting applications online for fee reimbursement. This stike is conducted under the united leadership of SFI, AISF & PDSU and all the institutes of Rajahmundry and Kakinada participated in this. Aditya, Sri Chaitanya, Narayana students have also taken active participation. As per student unions request leave was declared on the day before bandh. Engineering students also participated in this. They conducted rally near Salipeta Girls High school. PDSU district secretary Ghani Raju, SFI Secretary B. Raju Lova and several others participated in this bandh.
