JNTU-Kakinada tied up with Educational Consultants India Limited (EdCIL) for getting foreign students admitted to its colleges. Registrar V. Ravindra and EdCIL Deputy GM (Projects) Sulemon Sheik signed an MoU for the purpose in the presence of V-C Allam Appa Rao on Monday. Addressing a seminar on “Marketing India's Higher Education worldwide” at Department of Civil Engineering of JNTU-K, Dr.Sulemon Sheik said that most of foreign students select Indian Universities for higher education. Every year, over 80,000 students from various countries in the world come to India for education he added. The EdCIL offers consultancy and technical services in different areas of education on a global basis. Several Indian Universities are admitting foreign students through EdCIL he added. He said here after, JNTU-K would be put in the list of Indian universities and EdCIL would market it in all 163 countries in the world. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor of JNTU-K Prof.Allam Apparao said JNTU Kakinada doors are always opened to foreign students for quality education and friendly environment. The course fee would start from $ 3,500 per Annum.
