Hyderabad, June 29th: The results of Edcet-2009 for admission into B.Ed colleges in the state were declared on Monday. The minister for secondary education, Mr. D. Manikya Vara Prasada Rao, released the results at the Osmania University department of education. Of the total 1, 26,597 candidates who appeared for the exam, 1, 25,760 were declared qualified.
While 99.66 per cent candidates qualified in maths methodology, the pass percentahe was 99.3 percent physical sciences, 99.3 percent in biological sciences, 99.27 percent in social studies and 98.17 percent in English methodology. Ms Utpala of Nizamabad district secured the first position in maths, Mr. Thota Bharat Kumar of Warangal district topped the physics, Ms Sameena Firsoush of Hyderabad topped biology, Mr. Muddam Suresh of Kadapa topped social studies and Mr. Daniel Raju of East Godavari topped English.
