Edcet held peacefully

Kakinada, June 7th: Edcet-2009 (Education Common Entrance Test) was held peacefully at the district head quarters, Kakinada on Sunday. Nearly 2, 971 students applied for the exam out of which 2,681 students appeared for the same conducted at 7 centers in the region. The centers include VS Lakshmi Junior College, Government Polytechnic for Woman, PR Government Degree College, Ideal Degree College, A.S.D Government Degree College, APT, and Ideal PG College.  The exam was held from morning 11am to 1pm.

 

The exam was conducted for admission into various B.Ed colleges. Students were allowed to enter the examination hall till half-an-hour of the commencement of the exam. Elaborate arrangements were made by the authorities to conduct the exam in peaceful and fair atmosphere. No irregularities and disturbances like malpractices and mass copying were noticed. Minimum facilities like drinking water were provided to the students.
