The State Election Commissioner Mr. Bhanwarlal has reviewed the Voters enrollment and Voter lists in the district, here on Friday, at Collectorate in Kakinada, as a part of his official visit to the district. Speaking on this, he advised the district officials to complete the final voter list by 1st of October and the voter lists should be prepared by December for getting ready for general elections whenever they are held, that he remembered. He suggested all the vice-chancellors of the universities in the state to enroll the students as voters at the time of admission. He said this system is being implemented in New Delhi. He suggested that the students may be given voter enrollment applications along with college admission applications. He said that the expired voters and migrated voters who enrolled their names at other villages should be removed from the voter lists. The reports for strengthening the mechanism of Election Commission and implementation of manifestoes of political parties in previous elections would be submitted by July 23 to the government, he added. Joint Collector Mr. Mutyala Raju, DRO Mr. Yadagiri, RDO's Mr. Sampath Kumar, Mr. Subbarao, Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru, Mr. Venugopal Reddy, Mr. Vara Prasad and others were present.
