As we know, Andhra Pradesh Secondary School of Education (SSC) results were released on this Saturday. According to the results, East Godavari district achieved state-level 13th place, it slightly improved its position with a percentage of 82.2 in March-2011 SSC Examinations against the 14th place with 80.55% in the previous year 2010 SSC Examinations. In the district, 47,624 students qualified out of 57,930 students with a pass percentage of 82.2 for the academic year 2010-11. This is up by 1.65% when compared with last year’s SSC results. In the girls section, 24,307 succeeded out of 29,772 with a percentage of 81.64 and in the boys section, 23,317 succeeded out of 28,150 with a percentage of 82.80. Speaking on this, District Educational Officer Mrs. Ganga Bhavani congratulated both students and teachers for the improvement. She stated that ‘the percentage came for the year is not that much satisfied while we have expected the position in the top ten on state-level’ and she said we will try to achieve better rank in the examinations to be conducted for SSC in 2012.
