Hyderabad, Sep 4th: Eamcet qualified students will have to wait till Sunday to get letters of seat allotment for admission into engineering colleges. The officials failed to meet the deadline of September 4 to allot seats on the recently concluded web-based counseling. About 1.42 lakh students who relied on the web are waiting for the allotment of seats since the last week of August. On Friday, thousands of students thronged the cyber cafes to find their allotted colleges but there was disappointment since no such details was available on the Eamcet website.

Earlier the officials announced that the seats will be allotted in the last week of August. Later, they postponed it to September 2 and again announced a fresh deadline September 4. “The data processing is currently going on. We will get clarity on the options exercised by the students on Saturday. Then we will conduct a random check of the options. We are trying to post the seat allotment details on the website by Sunday morning”, said Prof Reddy. Students alleged that none of the officials are available for clarification with the state government announcing holidays on Thursday and Friday owing to the tragic death of CM.
