The EAMCET Counselling for the admissions into Engineering courses has not conducted on the second consecutive day also, ie., Tuesday in all the 3 helpline centers in the city. The program has not started in Andhra Polytechnic & Girls Polytechnic colleges while it is started at JNTU-K, but the Samaikyandhra JAC reached the spot and stopped the counselling program. They have conducted protests in the university campus. The center was shut due to the protest.
State Council for Higher Education has said that students who can’t get their certificates verified due to the ongoing protests in Seemandhra can do so on any day till 1st September. The Council is going ahead with the counselling on the directions of the High Court despite appeals from some sections in Seemandhra to postpone it in view of the political turmoil.
