Eamcet Counseling from July 1

Hyderabad, June 12th: The counseling for Eamcet-2009 (Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test) would likely to start in the state from July 1. The exam for the same was held on May 4. According to the Minister for Education, Mr. Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, for the first time in the state the seats in all the colleges will be filled through web counseling based on EAMCET ranks. Minister said that they have taken all the steps to conduct the counseling in a free and fair manner and the process will be conclude by the end of July and classes will begin from first week of August.

 

Students who have passed Eamcet can choose from a maximum of 3,212 colleges and branches in the web based counseling for admission into engineering colleges. They need to go to helpline centers set up in all the districts for verification of certificates and the seats will be allotted through online. Prof K.C Reddy, Chairman of APSCHE said that students have to generate their own password and keep it confidential till the process end in allotting seats. Mr. Reddy said that after verification of certificates from July 8 to July 10 students will be given 10 days time to exercise options on the web. After the due date options will be freezed automatically.
