EAMCET-2013 Counselling for admissiosn in Engineering courses will be conducted from Today.
JNTU-K, Andhra Polytechnic, GPT colleges in Kakinada and Bommuru Polytechnic college in Rajahmundry were designated as Help Centres to kick off the counselling process in the district. Verification of income and caste certificates and the credentials such as educational qualifications and rank card will take place up to August 21 during the initial process of counselling. User Id and password will be generated in the name of candidates after they undergo the verification process. The candidates can opt for branches and colleges of their choice online by signing into the official website of the Universities concerned with their user Id and password from August 22. Allotment of disciplines and colleges opted by the students will take place on September 5 in the order of merit.
On otherside, the Samaikyandhra protests demands to postpone the counselling in protest of the United State. But the state government on Saturday declared that the EAMCET counselling will not be postponed. A huge police security is being arranged at the centers.
