The Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) 2013 was held peacefully in the city on Friday, with 91 per cent of the applicants from the engineering stream and 93 per cent from the medicine stream appearing for the examination. In all, 11,753 students applied for engineering. Of them, 10,717 appeared for the examination that was held in 26 centres in different parts of the city. In the medicine stream, the number of applicants was 2,783. Of them, 2,631 students took the test in seven centres. EAMCET Regional Coordinator Dr. Padma Raju said no cases of malpractice and untoward incidents were reported. All the students appeared for the examination in time.
