The common entrance test conducted for admission into Engineering, Medicine and Agriculture streams, EAMCET-2012 was held peacefully without any incidents here on Saturday. Speaking on this, Regional Co-ordinator of EAMCET and JNTU-K Director of Evaluation, Dr. Ravindra said the examinations was held at 26 centers for the engineering stream and 7 for medicine and agriculture streams in Kakinada region. He said, 93.78 per cent appeared for the engineering stream and 93.8 per cent for the medicine and agriculture. Hall tickets were issued to 11,592 candidates appearing for engineering and out of them 10,871 appeared. Similarly, hall-tickets were issued to 2626 candidates appearing for medicine and agriculture and out of them 2464 appeared. One of the student Swatilakshmi's leg was stuck in a grill at the gate at PR College here when she came to appear for the test. The police helped the girl in removing her leg from the grill and finally, she attended the exam. The test went off peacefully with the observation of 30 observers, 3 special observers, 7 enforcement officers and 10 special squad teams.
