Commercial Tax Officer, Mr. G.Sitharama Murthy released a press note here on Friday about E-payments method. In the press note, he stated that E-payments method is compulsory for the payments of the monthly returns of Value Added Tax (VAT). Mr. Sitharama Murthy says, E-payment is an online payment method, which is very easy & faster than other payments, so people from now onwards must use this method. He also stated that the E-payment method has been introduced from last October itself but still many of the business people are using Cheques and Demand drafts for the payments. People need to change from the old payment mode to new E-payment mode to make their work easier, he added. He called upon the people to use this service before April month ending to clear the payments for the financial year.
