East Godavari District stood first position in the state in implementating Housing programme by achieving 95% of the housing target for the year 2012-13. According to this, the Housing Corporation Project Director Mr. G. Satyanarayana has released a press note here on Wednesday. He said 'we have completed 95% of target by constructing 27,554 houses out of 29,028 target in the district, spending Rs. 155.73 Crores. "While East Godavari stood in first place, the second place went to Medak district, third place to Prakasam district and fourth place to West Godavari district, he announced. According to this, the District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad, Joint Collector Mr. Ahmed Babu and AJC Mr. B. Ramarao appreciated the Housing Corporation Project Director, Engineers and other staff for making the district to stand in first position.
