The District Cooperative Central Bank Ltd (DCCB) Chairman Mr. Varupula Raja has stated that the bank is in first place in State by lending Rs.512 crores in Rabi by achieving the target. He had participated in 106th Executive Body Meeting of DCCB at Kapu Kalyanamandapam here on Friday in Kakinada. Speaking on this, he said deposits celebrations will be organised for three months from April to June and is aimed at mobilising Rs.415 crores. He stated that the bank is planning to lend finance to farmers for purchasing cars, solar energy, rural housing, FG bricks and other industries in non-farm sector category. He said that the board has taken a decision in this regard and directed bank officials to make rules and regulations for the purpose. He said the bank is encouraging renewable energies and will give loans liberally to farmers in rural areas based on Nabard guidelines. Government has given 30percent of subsidy for solar energy sources in view of power bills during summer, he noticed. Mr. Raja said 14percent of interest would be charged for loans. Loans upto Rs.3 Lakhs will be given to farmers at 25 paise interest. Later, speaking on this, Bank Chief Executive Officer Mr. Manchala Dharma Rao has stated that the loans will be given to farmers for housing, cars and others basing on viability of lands. DCMS Chairman Mr. Satyanarayana Reddy, DCCB Directors, PACS Presidents and many other officials attended the meeting.
