District Red Cross Society Chairman, Mr. P.Durga Raju was honored with National award for his services to the Society. According to this, Red Cross Society, Kakinada members said this to news line here on Friday. They stated that he received the award from Central Health Minister Mr. Gulam Nabi Azad on 27th of September at the National Headquarters of the Red Cross Society, New Delhi. Red Cross Society representatives presented a Gold Medal to him after receiving the National award. Society members stated that Mr. Durga Raju received this award in accordance with his admirable services to the society as a Secretary in the last few years. He is the second person in the State who received Gold Medal from Red Cross Society, they added. Later, all the society members appreciated Mr. Durga Raju on his achievement.
