DSC exams begin today

Hyderabad, May 28th: The three day DSC (District Selection Committee) exams-2008 which was scheduled to be held from May 29 to May 31 will begin today all over the state in 2,693 centers. A total of 5, 99,649 candidates have applied for the exam all over the state. This year the exam has attained more significance as it is the largest recruitment drive ever conduced in the state to fill up 52,675 teacher posts. According to the education department the complete recruitment process will be completed in a month by releasing the results with in two weeks of conducting the exam.

 

On the first day, examination for secondary grade teachers will be held from 10.30am to 1pm and for language pundits and physics teachers from 2pm to 5pm. On second day the exam will be held for SGTs and language pundits in school for blind, deaf and dumb and for PET in the same school from 10am to 1pm. In the afternoon session the exam will be held for SGTs in Maths, Physics, Biology, Social Studies and English in schools for blind, deaf and dumb. On third day the exam will be held for SGTs for general schools.

 

According to the minister for secondary education, Mr. Manikya Vara Prasad the candidates should reach the examination centers by 9.30 am and will not be allowed even if they are late even by a minute. He revealed that the initial key will be released on June 2 and the final key on June 10. The results will be out in third week of June.
