Kakinada, May 25^th: The education authorities are making elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of DSC (District Selection Committee)-2008 (Which is being conducted in 2009) in  East Godavari district which is scheduled to be held from May 29 to 31. For the available 3,321 teacher posts, nearly 33,344 will attend for the three day test. As many as 5,379 personnel drawn from education and other departments will conduct the tests. These include chief superintendents, hall superintendents, inspectors, invigilators and allied staff.

Of the total number of vacancies, the secondary grade teacher (SGT) vacancies are 1,899, Urdu SGT 11, school assistants Maths 161, Physical Science 151, Biological Science 128, English 177, Social 105, Telugu 25, Hindi 10, language pundits 337, Hindi 94, Urdu 2, Sanskrit 2 and PETs 216. According to the assistant director of education department, Mr. M.S.A Karim, the exam will be conducted under the chairmanship of district collector with DEO, Mr. Mallikarjuna Sastry as member convener. The test will be conducted at 147 centers in and around Kakinada.
