In the remembrance of Hockey Sportsperson Siva Kumar, East Godavari District Hockey Association conducted 1-day hockey tournament here on Friday. Hockey Association President Mr. Ravi Raj participated as chief guest and commenced the competitions. These competitions were held at Hockey field in the DSA grounds. Total 8 teams across the district participated in these competitions. Earlier, they paid rich tribute to Dhyan Chand, hockey player by offering garlands to his statue. Speaking on this, Association President stated that necessary actions will be taken to develop hockey game in district. DSA Boys team won the cup and Sambamurthy Nagar stood as runner-up. Hockey Association East Godavari Secretary, Coach Ravi Raj presented prizes to the winners. Hockey Association Secretary Srinivas, Sportsperson were present.
