Drive to eliminate ineligible beneficiaries

Rajahmundry, July 15th: In order to eliminate ineligible beneficiaries from the Abhaya Hastam pension scheme meant for Dwcra women, a third party survey will be taken up shortly. Taking part in an awareness program on the pension scheme here on Wednesday, the municipal commissioner, Mr. K. Manik Raj, said that Dwcra group women in the age group of 18 to 59 could enroll in the scheme before July 30.

 

As per the norms of the scheme, each person should pay Rs 30 per month while the government pays an equal amount as premium to the insurance company. In case of natural death of a member of the scheme, Rs 30,000 will be given and incase of accidental death Rs 70,000 will be given as compensation.

 

The municipal commissioner said that, to identify genuine persons to avail the scheme, a two member team would be formed for every 20 Dwcra groups and each team would educate four groups per day. Mr. Manik Raj said that for all 50 divisions in the municipal corporation limits, 151 teams were going to be formed.
