Kakinada, Dec 18th: Members of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi, East Godavari district has staged high drama in the city suburbs. Five of them climbed the cell tower demanding the SC Categorisation. The incident took place near the deputy transport commissioner’s office at 1pm on Thursday.
The activists stayed on the cell tower for more than three hours. They climbed down the tower when the Kakinada revenue divisional officer Mr. G.C Krishna Kumar and Mr. S Surya Rao , Sub-divisional police officer assured them to convey their message to the Government.
The youth first needed to speak to MRPS leader, but they were informed that the leader was unable to speak at that movement. On repeated assurance given by the officers they climbed down the tower. Two of the activists fainted and were shifted to Government hospital. Police filed attempt to suicide case on all the five activists.
