Tuni, Dec 4th: A women died by committing suicide due to dowry harassment. The woman was harassed by her husband and in-laws for extra dowry and tortured her mentally and physically. The incident took place on Thursday at Tuni rural in T. Venkatapuram village.
According to the sources provided by the police, Lova, an inhabitant of Danavaipeta was married to Srinivas belonging to T. Venkatapuram two years ago. From the time of marriage in-laws and husband of the victim Lova were harassing her for dowry. Being a poor family Victims parents could not afford the extra money asked by Lova in-laws.
Victim could not tolerate the harassment and on Thursday morning she committed suicide by plunging into well. With the information provided by the villagers police reached the incident place and took out the body from the well. Police filed dowry harassment case and doing investigation.
