Kakinada, Jan 4th: Few of the beneficiaries were facing problems with the houses allotted by government under Rajiv Gruhakalpa program. The documents issued by the officers were found to be fraud. People alleged that the officers have collected thousands of rupees from them and issued fraud documents due to which the concerned departmental officers were asking to vacant the houses.
Initially at the time of allotting the flats government collected Rs5, 500 from beneficiaries. The people who could not afford the money were not allocated with the houses. The housing officers have made money with such unallocated houses and issued fraud documents to the people who bought flats by paying thousands of rupees. With the complaints received by the collector, collector ordered the district housing manager to go for enquiry on the complaints. During cross check the housing department found bogus documents and asked the concern persons to vacant the houses. People alleged that they have paid thousands of rupees and disagreed to vacate the houses.
