Kakinada, Jan 28th: East Godavari district stood first in the state in the implementation of Indiramma housing project. District collector Gopala Krishna Dwivedi has revealed this to the media in the press conference held at collectorate court hall on Wednesday. Ananthapur and Nalgoda districts stood second and third respectively. Collectors of the concerned districts will be presented with Indiramma housing -2009 awards and rolling shields by the Chief Minister Y.S. Raja Shekar Reddy at a program that will be held at Hyderabad shortly.
Speaking on the occasion collector said that, the selection process was made taking various aspects into account. These include land acquisition, allotment of housing sites and number of houses completed from April 1st to December 31st 2008. He also revealed that the state was in the first position in the implementation of the Rajiv Arogyasri, self help projects and 108 services. He appreciated the engineers and the staff of the district housing department for their efforts towards effective implementation of the scheme. Housing board D.M Satyanarayana and other concerned officers participated in the meeting.
