District Non Gazetted Officer (NGO) Women’s Department conducted sports competitions to Women Government Employees here on Friday at District Authority Indoor Stadium, Kakinada. These competitions were conducted on occasion of International Women's Day on 8th of March. Total 350 women employees across the district took part in these competitions. District Collector, Mr. M.Ravi Chandra had commenced these competitions. Speaking on this, Collector stated that women are playing major role for the development of society and they need some change from their daily life. He says, these competitions will inspire other districts. Mr. Ravi Chandra announced that District Government offered Rs.1,50,000 to these competitions. 400 meters Speed Walk, Disc throw, Javelin throw, Shuttle & Badminton would as a part of this competitions. Mr. Ravi, Mr. Sparjan Raju, Mrs. Jaya Lakshmi and Mr. T.Ranga coordinated as Sports Organizers. Director State Force Mr. P.Venkata Ramana, NGO Association President Mr. A.Ramarayudu, District Women Association President Jaya Lakshmi, Employee Association Secretary Mr. B.Aasirvadham and others participated.
