Joint Collector Mr. K. Sasidhar asked Tahasildars to complete the distribution of rice and kerosene to the flood victims at the earliest. He also asked to submit the coupons at the Collectorate. Mr. Sasidhar particpated in a tele-conference with the officials of all the 22 mandals that were affected by the recent floods this Tuesday. He said that as part of the rehabilitation package, the government announced free distribution of 20 kg of rice and five liters of kerosene each to all the flood-affected families. He asked the officials to arrange special counters if necessary to distribute rice and kerosene. He said that the dealers of the fair-price shops could divert the PDS kerosene for the rehabilitation package so that there would not be any delay in extending help to the flood victims. Joint Collector also stressed the need for chlorination of all wells.
