Sportswomen from District, G.Vara Lakshmi and D.L Sindhu Devi were selected for the Indian Senior Women’s Hockey training camp. District Hockey Association Secretary, Mr. V.Ravi Raju said this to news line here on Saturday. Varalakshmi and Sindhu Devi were selected based on their talent proved in the Senior National Women’s Hockey Championship conducted in the month of January at Harayana. Both sportswomen were undergoing training from past seven years in the District Sports Authority grounds. They have been representing Andhra University from the last 3 years for the National Level competitions. District Hockey Association President Mr. D.Jayanth Kumar, Vice President Mr. B.L Satyanarayana, District Sports Development Officer Mr. Ravi, District Olympics Association Secretary Mr. K.Padmanabham appreciated them on their selection.
